This description of the decision from Le Figaro, http://www.lefigaro.fr/medias/20070130.WWW000000451_les_heritiers_de_victor_hugo_perdent_en_cassation.html , seems to be saying (if my French is right) that the Cour de Cassation is sending the matter back to the Cour d'Appel to reexamine the sequel in order to determine if it violates Victor Hugo's moral right. The Cour d'Appel was wrong to conclude that the sequel violates the moral right, "par principe," without examining its contents. Does anyone know if the actual opinion is available anywhere yet?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
